So I have been thinking of moving back to Florida and to Panama City. I have lived on Fort lauderdale Beach for a year and around the area for a few years and wanted to see a different side of FL. Right now Im in RI due to living with my grandmother and Im hopefully getting surgery before summer starts. If not I will be moving in August.
Is Panana City a good place for a fresh start? Im looking at jobs in Panama city beach. I love hot weather and tired of the snow every 2 weeks here in New england. Like I said before Ive lived there for years and know how bad the heat can get.

If you don't have the connections to get a well-paying job at Tyndall AFB, it's a smaller version of Daytona Beach- lots of trailers, drug crime, and low-paying tourism jobs. If you're interested in the panhandle, I's aim for more westward for the IS 98 Destin-Pensacola corridor.

PC is rough around the edges for sure but I'd say it's on the upswing and cleaning up quite well. The west end commercial development is interesting and there finally seems to be some decent neighborhood development options too. Overall it is a beach town and like most beach towns tourism jobs with low pay are the norm for those without unique job skills.

The elimination of college spring break should really help the city in the coming years if only to help shed the seedy, party reputation. Summer tourists here are generally families who are very well behaved and add a positive element to the city.
