I'm looking to buy a vacation house near Daytona beach. It's a for sale by owner and the seller does not want any realtors involved. Im in need of attorney to help me with the contract and buying process. If anyone has any recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it. I'd prefer a flat-rate attorney as opposed to one who would charge by the hour. Thanks!

Check with a title office as they do most of the work. The sale contract should mirror one a real estate agent would have so that inspections, etc play a part.

It's VERY important to state if the seller will be financing this transaction for you to purchase, if you're paying cash or going through an independent financing bank/company?

And before you proceed, do you know if the address is a FEMA Flood Zone AND have quotes in hand for owner's property coverage (including Hurricane)? Will the owner allow inspections, including those for INSURANCE coverage? Home Warranty?

If NOT -- WALK AWAY!!
