I heard somebody mention that some of their friends from Miami consider Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa too "cold". I assume this means in the winter. So, any fellow Miami or southern Florida folks, do you really consider central and northern Florida to be too "cold" for you, especially in winter?

We've lived in Northern Florida for the past 5-years after 27-years in Central Florida ... and yes, for us, Northern Florida gets cold in the winter.

Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying it's Minnesota or Alaska snow cold, but, with relatively high humidity, below 40-50-degrees makes cold somewhat moot. It's way to cold to be comfortable outside. Having grown-up in Denver and lived in Kansas City (years ago), we're no strangers to cold.

You are looking at 30-40 degree weather differences in Miami compared to the panhandle during some days of the winter.

A character from Bloodline said Orlanndo was too cold. I chuckled because I'm from South Florida too and Orlando is still too hot for me!

I do find it pretty funny when this:

happens at the same time as this:

Cold weather is very short lived, though, even in northern Florida.
