I love NY, but not any Borough...Gimme Queens, and only by the water and between the 2 Bronx Bridges....Lovely and far away from the noise, except sometimes La Guardia, but far away in my head and toughts.

I like the idea of gators In Florida
Yes We have them here
Litigators, tailgaters and agitators
But the ones in Florida eat all the ones here given the chance

I too will probably never live outside Florida again; though not so sure it's by far the best place to live and I do sometimes think about living elsewhere, the conclusion is always that it certainly seems to be the least bad choice among worse ones.

Our real estate here is booming as well. Homes selling like hot cakes and new construction going up. Cannot say NY/NJ people are escaping the weather, but maybe the 2 C's, COLA and COVID?

Yes, strange for people from up North going to Florida not in Season, but these are strange times we now live in anyway.
It's been reported that NYCers are fleeing the high taxes, high COL, ever increasing crime rate, and other craziness brought about by events rampant in their city. Lots of them are moving to FL, but no doubt others prefer moving to suburban areas closer to where they are living. I'm not at all surprised to hear they're heading your way as well.

I'm married to Florida. I'm not happy in my marriage to Florida but I stay in my marriage to Florida because getting a divorce from Florida would be too expensive.

I've found that most people are unhappy no matter where they go. It's just their way.
