Generally, the schools in Seminole County (where Sanford is) are better. DeBary is not a bad place at all. If you want a quaint downtown, go a few miles north to DeLand - it's charming.

DeBary is mostly a bedroom community to Orlando. Will you need to find a job? You definitely DO NOT want to live in DeBary if you're working in Orlando - the traffic is insane. EXCEPTION - Debary has a SunRail station (SunRail is the new commuter train). It goes through downtown Orlando and several miles south. If you land a job within walking distance of a SunRail station you're golden.

I was just going to say that. I work downtown, and have taken the Sunrail from Sanford quite a few times. It is extremely convenient for the select few who work close to a station.
