Amendment 2, is an amendment that'll be on the ballot asking voters to legalize medical marijuana in Florida. This will be my first year voting in the elections and I am in favor of legalizing it. Hopefully we'll have a shot of it passing this year. We came close to it two years ago. If passed, Florida would be the first state in the south to legalize medical marijuana. Legalization of recreational use like in Colorado is the next step.

I think this link is the official website: http://www.unitedforcare.org/

This is something that needs to go through the legislature. Putting in the constitution is a horrible idea.

It's embarrassing to live in a state that has yet to approve medical marijuana. And frankly this referendum is so limited it won't help as many people as it should. But it's a start.

What if the legislature won't do it? That's what these referendums are for.

I'm ok with medical, not sure about recreational. I think for medical, it should be oral, much more effectively dosed that way pharmacologically. What other medical drug do we smoke? None

It is already legal in florida, its called Marinol. http://www.alligator.org/news/articl...605d4cbce.html

Also certain strains of pot are already legal, passed into law by the legislature. Please do your homework.

This amendment is trying to legalize something that is already legal. The unintended consequences of passing this will be horrible, just like it has been in other states.

If you want to expand the already legal marijuana, lobby your state representative. You have a voice, use it.
Dont destroy our constitution, by putting more statutory items in it, that cant be undone or altered, when found defective.

You've got to be stupid to not support it.

Marinol is a synthetic version of a single cannabinoid, expensive and doesn't work for everyone. You need to do your homework too.

Alcohol is legal in the U.S.constitution. tobacco is legal as well, both are arguably as bad if not worse than marijuana....Especially tobacco
