Hi! Yes, this is another "where to relocate in FL thread." I've been researching in preparation for our move in about a year and as soon as I settle on one place, I find something that makes me want to look elsewhere. Are there any relocation experts I could reach out to who might be able to steer me in the right direction? Someone who knows the ins and outs of Florida and who could recommend a place(s) based on what I'm looking for? I'm on information overload right now!

I live on Bee Ridge Road which not long ago was once total hickville and was full of local racists and prejudiced southern slim balls. Today things look different but those thngs still exhist here just so you know.

Or you can be a baby boomster or a millionaire or billionaire and live in a totally different Florida that is not the same as the Florida working class people live in

We are all relocation experts on here. Or some people here like to think they are. Go ahead and post info on your situation and what you're looking for and we can help you out...that's really the best way.

Best option is to get a job then relocate to somewhere in that vicinity.

The only relocation expert that would have a clue at to what you're looking for is you. You are the world's expert on you, so anyone else is just going to be giving you their opinion. While there is a LOT of information on the different places, you really need feet on the ground. People say that over and over, and it's true. What someone else thinks is not so bad, you may find is not acceptable. I would never get hired before I knew if I wanted to live somewhere there first. That is backwards. See if you want to live somewhere first, then get a job. A make-do job in a great place is doable, whereas a great job in a place you do not wish to live is of little to no value.

Any particular reason why you would want to move to FL from NC?

I see no mention of NC or where the OP is looking to move from.

The military brought us to NC and we don't intend on retiring here. We visit Florida every year (and have family there) and we love it.

Well based on the details you gave us about your preferences, i'd say throw a dart on the map.
