Try Destin or the Beaches of South Walton

My personal favorite place in the world is Sanibel and Captiva which are two islands off the coast of Fort Myers.

It is the shell hunting beach of the world. You can do anything from fishing, boating, go out to Cayo Costa by boat and enjoy the semi deserted island. Dolphin watching, bicycle rides on the island. Wonderful selection of restaurants, fabulous animal preserve and Fort Myers is right across the bridge.

I second Sanibel. It's so pretty! The only downfall is the $6 toll if you leave the island and come back. However, the island has some of the best restaurants in the area so you won't want to leave to eat. And it is close enough to Fort Myers so if there's a rainy day you can check out some of the indoor sights, like the Imaginarium or the Fort Myers Historical Museum. Oh, and there's lots of shopping in the area. The biggest places are the Edison Mall, Coconut Point Town Center, Gulf Coast Town Center, Tanger Outlets, and Miromar Outlets.

Another one to check out would be Siesta Key. It's really nice and close enough to Sarasota if you get tired of the beach. Plus, it's rated one of the top family beaches in the U.S. by the Travel Channel.

Pensacola Beach, Navarre Beach, Fort Walton Beach, and Panama City. Destin will be the best choice...

Siesta Key, Lido Beach, Indian Rocks Beach, St. Pete Beach, are some of my like long favorites. White sand and normally clean water.

Vanderbuilt beach in Naples, when you get hot walk up the board walk and across the street to get an ice cream or pizza. If it rains take the kids to the children's museum that day they'd love it and could no doubt spend the whole day there
