And currently rip tides so be careful out there.

I found no news that indicated the problems on Maui and the water has changed at all. Seems normal as to the non human impacted events.

Now the stupidity shown with the water from the swamp can be addressed and hope fully will be, but again it does not impact the entire coast line of FL, just the Southern section.

In 2016 the EPA sued Maui because of water quality issues. This would be similar, though not as bad, as the Swamp water issue in So Fl.

I honeymooned on Maui and love the island (My wife is part Hawaiian a descendant of King Kamehameha's family), but no place is perfect and all have problems.

Yes, that's right no place is perfect. But some places are a lot more pristine than others. Some places are a lot more strict when it comes to the enviro than others. Some states have anti-environment governors like Rick Scott (whom I voted for, by the way). Florida has a lot more environmental problems than Hawaii. Let us recall that Hawaii has strict laws designed to protect the environment: no plastic bags, no styrofoam (which Florida's beaches, rivers and estuaries are FULL of), and they are about to ban sunscreens. Please let me know when Hawaii allows this to be dumped into its rivers and beaches. This is affecting BOTH the East and West coasts and is not contained to the south. And this isn't even Florida's only environmental catastrophe.

I say probably FAR away from The Big Lake's Discharges, East and West equally...Maybe the Panhandle of Fl is the place to be at right now.

I think you should have to check out clear-water beach and St Pete beach.
