let's be honest here boys and girls, California sucks for swimming but so does a beach littered with seaweed.

this is why i fly to Hawaii regularly and not Florida. but i was just wondering if there are good beaches that aren't filled with seaweed over there.

not a single seaweed was seen that day:

Rarely see much in South Florida unless a storm's been through.

The Gulf side is pretty much clear of it. Check out Clearwater Beach and St Pete Beach.

Yeah it can show up anywhere if a storm has been in the area, but usually is gone with the next Hi Tide.

Never see seaweed in Daytona/New Smyrna except as someone says if there is a storm. Water is clear beach is sandy. Waves are great, sharks are biting ;-). Clearwater St.Pete has nice beaches as well but little waves. All in all Florida has some of the best beaches in the world.

I don't think any beach in Florida is gonna have a view like that, but maybe I'm just biased towards the mountains and jagged coastline.

True since all in all we're supposed to be judging beaches and not the topography adjoining. Florida routinely does very well in the "best beach" awards...
