Not really. By Tuesday that said it was highly probably that it would hit somewhere in Florida as a cat 4 or 5. That is what is happening.

Don't confuse actual events with cones and graphics and hysterical media blithering opinions. So far, Florida has not been hit. It's all maybe, maybe not right now. That's what's really happening.

Are you saying that predicting hurricane paths is an infallible science? No fooling. Perhaps, you would prefer there was no reporting on the hurricane or its potential path and strength. Me I am glad for the reporting. Convinces me to get out on Wednesday. If it misses Florida great. What did I Loose be evacuating? Right now it is tracking for my town. What could I lose if I stayed?

Is anyone who has successfully evacuated actually stupid enough to head home now?

I don't even live in Florida but every winter where I am they forecast a 24+ inch blizzard that "usually" goes out to sea at the last second. It is obvious that their "prediction" stuff is useless but they are going to use it because they paid a lot of money for it. The sad thing is.. people make decisions about what to do on poor information and put themselves in harms way.

If this thing isn't as big as advertised, future warnings will definitely go ignored, that's for sure.....

23 people have died already for Irma. Yeah. It's a nothing burger. And all that hype on Harvey was just that right?

I know at least three people who fled to the west coast Thursday and Friday. Knowing what Charlie and Wilma did, it does not seem like a great idea to try to go anywhere.

Are you in Tampa?

Please they died on Caribbean islands at category 5. That didn't take a genius to realize was dangerous. But the Florida models were wrong putting people in harms way and frankly, we don't know that it is going to go north. Tomorrow everyone could wake up and it would be out in the gulf. They never get it right. Ever. Maybe like 16 seconds before it actually happens they forecast it.
