I would LOVE not to turn my clock ahead in the fall and keep that extra hour of daylight!

that would cause the state to be in a different time zone than the rest of the east coast states and cause all kinds of havoc for airlines, commerce, business communication and probably cost us a ton in economic losses

Why?...no different than going from Georgia to Alabama...and part of Florida is already in a different time zone. If someone goes from Atlanta to Birmingham....it doesn't cause all kinds of havoc

Arizona and Hawaii don't bother with daylight savings time and neither should Florida. Q

Florida is the 3rd most populated state and has a much larger economy than podunk Alabama. The major cities of FL fall in the EST and that's where the trouble will occur. There's no reason for reversing DST. Best to stay on the same zone as NYC where all the major banking/financial markets are.

I love the idea of getting rid of the "spring forward, fall back" thing. But unlike in 2015 when we had the proposed "Sunshine Protection Act" that would keep us on DST all year round:

I *think* this new proposal is to keep us on standard time all year round.
