I think sooner or later the Latin influence here will increase dramatically due to the lower cost of living.
Yes, you have a few small Latin clubs, over the years we tried them basically all but they were not worth our time and effort. The DJs are so bad!!! Most of the time when we went out we did not dance at all or we danced once or twice only and wished we had stayed home. In Cuba Libre (the nicest one of the clubs) they started charging each person $10 (that makes $20 per couple) for a terrible DJ a couple of years ago. I can understand that when they have a band. But not for an awful DJ. That is when we stopped going there. When we spend $20 here in Orlando, we have a fabulous night with great salsa music!

Latin House Grill on the west side plays music on the weekends but has the same problem: The DJ mixes tracks with whistles, horns, alarm sounds and you name it. So the music is terrible. Also, the people there are very low class. We stopped going there also.

And I could go on.

It was not worth our time because it got us in a bad and frustrated mood - instead the other way around. So we gave it up completely and traveled to Orlando every now and then.

When we moved to Jax, we hoped that the Latin scene would slightly improve over the years but it actually went down and became worse.
