Look at the finances of other Blue States like CA, NY, NJ etc. Please don't bring that down to FL, leave it purple.
90% of Florida corporations are getting away with paying ZERO income taxes. They can afford to pay a little more. And teachers deserve higher pay. Myself and many other Northeast transplants, along with the 200,000 Puerto Ricans who recently moved here due to Hurricane Maria, will turn Florida blue before you know it.

Said it is "some kind of progress", didn't say it was the solution.

The solution needs to be handed down from a much higher level, but nobody is holding their breath for that to happen. Not when their primary aim will be to sweep the problem back under the carpet where they seem to think it belongs.

Again the money will come from you. The corporations make their money from you.

If it changes it will be even worse. Either Blue or Red it would be worse. Purple is good.

Cars actually have a purpose besides killing lots of people quickly. Do AR15s?

FL is purple. Probably will be for awhile. Went for Obama twice and then elected the moron. And despite electing the moron, Floridians supported medical MJ at 70%+.

I have no problem with banning AR15's, but far more needs to be done and it isn't just guns. If the killer had been dealt with properly the 17 kids would be alive.

Yes it is purple and it makes sense to keep it that way. Look at the people fleeing high tax states and then want to raise taxes in FL.

So what if the money will come from me? I believe in a well funded society. I would love to see my money going toward good causes. Purple is lame. Florida needs to become solid blue and I believe it will be soon. Not to mention, you're wrong, because corporations are making record profits and paying virtually no income taxes in FL. They can easily afford the 2.25 point increase.

That's a question I'd like to hear a lot of people answer.

If the killer had have been dealt with properly he wouldn't have had a gun in the first place. Let alone a weapon of the type he had.
