Alligators have become overpopulated from years of being overly protected. They have opened up hunting of alligators in recent years, so hopefully the numbers will get back down to a healthy balance.

Lived in Fl for many years. Walked near alligators who lived in ponds in the neighborhood probably thousands of times. Never had a problem.

What I did have a problem with is all the rottweiler/pit bulls everyone has to have for some reason, that get loose in the neighborhood. I'll bet there are are more far fatalities due to aggressive dogs than alligators in Florida. You wanna shoot dogs, OP?

Already shot one dog a few years back. I have no problem shooting more if peeps wanna let em run loose like a goose.
