I love Publix and can't understand all the negative posts about it. Its a great chain with employee/owners who really go out of their way to please you. The prices are not the lowest but they have great specials. The produce is fresh and well displayed. The stores are clean and well laid out. They are not trying to be Wegmans or any of the other chains they are constantly being compared to. They would not rank at the top or near the top of almost every Supermarket survey if they weren't doing something right. So all you naysayers and purveyors of gloom take your posts elsewhere and if you don't want to shop at Publix don't. I suspect some are paid to go on here and trash Publix as a way of boosting their own stores, but it won't work.

People enjoy trolling, Publix is one of those things where fans get defensive, which brings out the trolls.

Five Stories of Publix Anti-Gay Accusations | Miami New Times

Companies like Chick-fil-A, Publix, hobby lobby etc would do even better if they kept their business out of politics and religion imo

Not really. They skew right wing. If I was gay or an immigrant or both, I would be annoyed

You know how many gays and immigrants work at Publix?

If you don't shop at Publix because of politics of one person, you must live a very sad life to let politics influence you so much.

Do you feel the need to interview every business owner about their political stances before shopping there?

Publix is more than a grocery store chain. They also are very supportive of the communities in which they operate and they are one of the largest donors to United Way which, in turn, supports a wide range of needy people. For reference: Being There Archives - Publix Super Markets Charities

I personally don't care enough. But it happens. Do you deny that right wing folks stopped going to Starbucks with their recent politicking?

What about the NFL or ESPN?
