It's a fairly large state with a very high population all throughout. There are some really ****ty places (Daytona comes to mind) and then some pretty nice places.

The rough parts of Gainesville are pretty ****ty and it's less dimensional than a college town like Madison or Austin

Las Vegas is rebounding from the housing crash with a vengeance along with Miami......Compton is undergoing serious gentrification in LA. Atlanta is booming with the movie industry and the growth outside the beltway. Gainesville is a pretty nice college town with students coming in worldwide for it's medical programs..........these are the only ones I feel comfortable enough to give my two cents on.

I really don't know where these writers or should I say bloggers get their information from but these best ofs and worst ofs articles are becoming more and more click bait. You name it, we have happiest city's. Cities were depression is highest, it goes on and on..........I guess you know how I feel about these articles

As a 3 year long resident of Gainesville, I now must add a new category where we have bragging rights over our FSU rivals. We're 9 cities better than you!

And I am proud to say we're in the bottom 3 with Atlanta and Salt Lake City. Rarified air!
