no way Florida vote in a Bernie Sanders wanna-be. Nearly all radical leftists have lost the elections so far this year. Only dems that are winning are blue dogs that are practically republicans.

Ron Desantis will be our next governor.

"Sanders is a staunch supporter of a universal health care system, and has said, "If you are serious about real healthcare reform, the only way to go is single-payer."

Ignorant much? There was a lot of discussion about Puerto Ricans and voting in Florida in 2016 and how they typically think of themselves as independent voters and will frequently register as such. Like many Hispanic groups, they have a pretty high percentage of social conservatives, particularly among older voters. They just can't increasingly handle the Republican take on other issues, which pushes many of them toward the Democrats because while they may not like the Democrat's pro-choice platform, at least they aren't insanely frothing at the mouth cray-cary like the Tea Party faction is these days.

Which is how most Republicans vote apparently, even though there isn't a language barrier. Rather head-scratching to watch so many vote against their own best interests as demonstrated by GOP policy, time and time again.

Then this explains why they didn't vote in the primary in big numbers. The entire primary ballot is D against D (or R against R).

Right, they don't care about the person. All they see is Blue. A blue wave crashing into our state, drowning our cities.

The best time to do this was 45 years ago, ironically when NIXON had a message to Congress. Ted Kennedy shot it down.

Richard Nixon: Special Message to the Congress on Health Care.

Or perhaps 20 years ago before all the industry consolidation.

I personally have no major issue with single-payer, but then you become subjected to whatever treatment protocols and wait lists exist for that single insurer.

If you read the article you posted you would know that this applies to certain Mexicans only who claimed to be born on the US side of the Texas-Mexico border but of whom the government assumes that they were actually born in Mexico. Mexico is a foreign country.

Puerto Rico is an island in the Caribbean, far away from Mexico.

Puerto Ricans have US citizenship only! Puerto Rico is an associated state of the US. Flights from Puerto Rico to the US are domestic flights.
