I'm a n00b, so sorry for asking if this has been brought up before.....

Seems odd there isn't a forum for Volusia County (Daytona-NSB-Ormond-Port O...even Flagler County).

An argument could be made that places like Deland and Deltona would be part of the Orlando forum (and you'd probably be right)..but there are areas east of there that are growing rapidly and deserve discussion.

What do you think?

Not enough posts about the area. Just post on the main FL forum. Being off the radar is nice.

Lol, if you look on the main US forums index page, Florida has the most sub-forums by far, 15 sub-forums. Only California comes close, with 9.

I don't see that as a positive, BTW, on account of I'm not comfortable with the level of popularity and relocation Florida has experienced.

Actually, they said the same when people asked for a Brevard County one. We got one when they checked all the boards people were asking questions on and they decided to start one for this area. Posters just have to make CD aware that there are a lot of people searching for a board to ask questions about Daytona Beach and New Smyrna on.

Just did a search and there are 16 pages where there are questions or replies about Daytona Beach and 19 for New Smyrna so people are interested in that area, too.

Default Latitude Margaritaville

We have moved to Latitude Margaritaville in Daytona Beach. This community has already sold 600 homes in a year and will grow to 6000 eventually. There are many other communities in Volusia being built as well showing there is a lot of interest. I agree that Volusia should have it's own sub forum.

How do you like it there?
We are looking at Margaritaville on Dec. 31 to possibly build a retirement home there, I can’t wait to see it!
