2) There are crazies. Every heard of Florida man? Florida attracts a lot of nuts. Fear and anxiety lead people to keep to themselves because of past experience or media coverage.

I quote this almost daily. This has to be the nut capitol of the world. I live in south Florida for one year now.

I would love to know where those friendly ones placed on I

Not waving to strangers from your car is not classless. In a highly populated and often congested area it's actually pointless, dangerous and hence ridiculous.

Are you not aware that Florida is the THIRD largest state by population?
If I waved to everyone my arm would fall off!
And yes, I am originally from LI NY, the former THIRD largest state.

Most of the people posting here don't get America. It's like they've only seen hellholes like Miami. They've never seen AMERICA.

Nice, friendly or what not; it’s a mixed bag here in South Florida. But when people get behind the wheel here, a flip switches and they go MAD.

I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve tried to cross a street walking - when it’s my right of way as a pedestrian - only to see cars try and “beat” me.

Yeah. People are not courteous on the road at all in Florida lol. The turn signal and then speed up to block you from changing lanes is beyond obnoxious. Like what are you doing lol.

Huh? You find your spot and then put the turn signal on as you are turning or no more than 1 second before. You think people will actually let you in if you give them advanced notice? lol

That's if you use the turn signals at all.

If you speed up when someone is trying to change lanes while using their signal to indicate they are trying to change lanes to get to an exit etc- then yes you are a jerk. Common courtesy when driving that you find in every other place in the country.

From my experience people are as friendly to you as you are to them. If you don’t put yourself out don’t expect others to. Sadly Florida has gone through a lot of changes in the past 10 years. You either adapt or move somewhere else.
