I purchased a Crosman 760 Pumpmaster for $25. It is very accurate (BB's for juveniles and pellets for adults), and I dispatch the animal with a coup de grâce from a sharpened spade.

I do not enjoy killing these pretty animals (especially the King Iguanas), but they not indigenous to Florida and cannot be scared off my property. And natural remedies (hot pepper sprays) do not work.
Thus , they gotta go!

I found out, the hard way....that I can't hit squat with just one pellet...and even if I do....they run away or jump in the canal..one shot and reload was just not cutting it

I got the Crosman Repeat Air....put a scope on it.....I can get off 12 shots as fast as I can pull the trigger...and loaded with wadcutters....the wadcutters do some serious damage and are more accurate

They’re non-native, invasive, and a threat to the ecosystem. It’s not about “human habitat.” They fall into the same category as pythons and lion fish.

You have a weak gun. My Mark11 lo gun with it's modarator has 35ft ft lbs of energy and can kill full size dogs and no one can hear me shoot it. Gotta have a PCP airgun.
