Menhaden or commonly called bunker have had "die offs" since they were observed and harvested during colonial times. I am not discounting your information, but putting it in context. There is no single "reason" and Menhaden may if fact (at times) self regulate population (not consciously).

Day to day, year to year, decade to decade measurement of temperatures has no statistical scientific value. The poles and the oceans regulate temperature. Science seeks a constant for measurement and Greenland is most often used for measuring the affect of climate.

No one denies how it "feels" or what they see, but context gives us bench marks and historical reference.

Had it. Very uncomfortable but rarely life threatening.

Mosquito-borne viruses. These viruses can cause infections such as West Nile, La Crosse, St. Louis, western equine and eastern equine encephalitis. Symptoms of an infection might appear within a few days to a couple of weeks after exposure to a mosquito-borne virus. Only northerns get really sick.
