Again... be fruitful and multiply. I would add ... be a good steward. Make an effort and hold yourself accountable to you.

Good for DeSantis. Kudois to him for taking this brave but necessary move. It gives me hope.

overpopulation is back!!! Be very afraid and agree to really high taxes to fix it...total hoax
I have a great, Florida based solution to this... lets greatly expand our space research and build some orbital colonies for the surplus population. We can also use the moon and eventually Mars.

One thing is for sure.... man made problems require man made solutions. What corrupts good science is bad politics.... always, in all ways.

The US will set the stage for the future changes/improvements regarding the production of energy. It will take 100+ years to accomplish this. Renewables will never be more than 20% of total production.

Go plant a tree, but by all means, do something.

One thing that Florida has going for it is that a huge amount of the structures in the state were built after the country started taking an interest in energy efficiency. Combine that with not much need for winter heating costs and we do pretty well in terms of power use per capita. I ran the numbers a while back for our ordinary all-electric 1982 ranch house, and we use about as much home electric use as a typical French family who probably is living in a 30-60% smaller space than we have.

An ICF home to modern standards has heating and cooling costs that are pretty much a rounding error many months of the year. And the Florida building code keeps moving ahead in terms of decreasing energy use. I was talking with a contractor a few months back and the new windows we put in for a remodel in 2010 that were good enough at the time that we maxed out on federal energy efficiency credits at tax time are now considered to be so inefficient that they're no longer allowed to be used in new construction in the state.

Floridians... and to a greater degree outdoorsy folks usually are good stewards. Why? Well they're outside enjoying the opportunities presented. This isn't just the well known tree hugger organizations either... (not derogatory, I belong to Save our Rivers) but snake hunts in the Glades, lion fish roundups, invasive tree removals, etc, etc. We do lots of good stewardship work and training.

If your ass is usually deeply implanted on a couch... what do you really know?

This is what NASA has been trying to do since 1958, its just taking them longer than they thought, but its a government agency, so I wasn't expecting much anyways!

If you need something to take twice as long, and cost twice as much, as it should, call in the Government.

I always said if you live in Florida and do not care about climate change you have a special kind of inanity

If you live in FL and you don't care about climate change, you'd get elected Governor twice, then go on to be a Senator, the current Governor is a lot of talk and no action, Nothing in FL "environmentally wise" gets passed without Big sugar's approval.

The behaviors and decisions of people doesn't mean climate change is fake. What a silly statement.

Not anymore.

Do you know the ONLY politician not to receive political donations from big sugar? You're Right ! Governor Ron DeSantis.

Here's another tidbit... big sugar actually formed a backdoor PAC to create political dirt against the candidate Ron DeSantis.

Didn't work. Stop being outraged about stuff you don't know. Plant a tree.
