If right-to-work laws are so vital to a state's economy, then why do Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Washington perpetually rank near the top in terms of economic vitality? None of them are right-to-work states. It can't be because of marijuana legalization either, because marijuana is still illegal in Massachusetts and Minnesota, and the good economic fortunes in Colorado and Washington go back at least a generation. Quite frankly, I'm not convinced that right-to-work laws make all that much difference.

look at where all of the last 20-30 years of auto and aircraft manufacturing jobs have gone. Alabama, GA, SC, KY, TX etc (except for Tesla, but hey it's more of a tech company than an auto one). Boeing picked SC over WA to create the next dreamliner factory for a reason.

Right to work translates to right to work for LESS. At least in the health care industry Florida has some of the lowest wages in the country.

If there was no business there would be no jobs at all. Why is it that people who perform their work tasks better than a co worker in a right to work state earn more than a poor performer?? Those who complain about the fact that they cant join a union, be a slacker and still make the same wage as the better worker. That thinking causes everybody in a union job to slack off and gives the employer the inability to provide a superior product or service. Union people figure they may as well slack off as much as the other guy so that the employer get the shaft.

I work with a lot of union folks and can say without a doubt this is complete garbage. Are there slackers in unions? Yes, but not many. Some might be at odds with their company, but the last thing they want to do is "shaft" their employer and lose their job. I say this from my own personal experience.
