I don't know, I only stayed for a week so I need a lot of inputs from you guys.

I loved the south beach however, miami and keywest had one of the most beautiful sunset. If I could afford it, I would move to a key west. My budget for the house is somewhere between 350k to 450k.
The votes for Miami are only by Miami residents and homers. Ignore their booster activities. You’ll be miserable there. If $350k is your budget, you can find a gorgeous home in Orlando and Tampa, and a pretty nice place in St. Pete. Don’t even think about moving to Miami, you’ll regret it if you’re not a multimillionaire, college student, aspiring model, foreign investor, or budding porn star.

With $450,000 you can get a nice condo in Brickell overlooking the Bay or in Miami Beach, especially during the recession, you will get a good deal. Miami is also a much bigger financial center than any other city in Florida. Way more cosmopolitan. Just can't compare.

Which of those things did the OP mention? For what he described in the very first post, Miami is not a good city for him. No one is saying Miami isn’t a financial center and cosmopolitan world city. But the OP’s money would go MUCH further in Tampa or Orlando. You can get triple the house in Tampa Bay for the same price as in Miami.

Many of the immigrant/migrant Latinos in Miami have angry racist behavior and some actually hate Native American people. I have witnessed it first hand. How bizarre we allow them to enter and live in this comfortable and secure first world country USA then fast forward a few years and those same people end up rude/entitled/angry.

Miami today is a Latino controlled city. The Cubans pretty much control the city now. Violence is high. Traffic is dangerous. Insurance rates the highest in the country if not the world because of all the illegals driving and the accidents they cause (hitting and running). Miami is the Scam Capital of the United States in terms of contracting and remodeling. I could go on and on........

Native Americans have found it hard to live in most states outside of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. I don’t think that is a Miami only issue although the city name is indeed Native American.

Both Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale are good options. You might also check out their suburbs like Cooper City, Davie and Pembroke Pines which all have good schools as well. Jupiter can be pricey but you should check out other cities like Delray Beach, the west side of Boynton Beach out towards the Turnpike (good home values with better schools) or Coral Springs as well.

Also, Orlando and Tampa are ghetto? Compared to Miami they are like the Hamptons. Miami is the most hood city in Florida unless you’re rich lol. I can’t recommend anyone move to Miami unless they have a lot of money and can afford to live in Coconut Grove.

Tampa is probably the best choice for OP’s tastes, and more specifically, St. Pete. It basically offers everything Miami USED to be before being overrun by foreigners, wealthy Northerners, wild revelers, and poor people.
Floridian with over 60 years of experience living all around Florida and I agree 100%.

Hollywood today is almost an immigrant ghetto, and it's getting worse every year. I would rather be eaten alive by a pack of wild Lions in Africa than reside in Hollywood (Florida), and if you gave me a brand new Mansion in the best hood in Hollywood, I would call my Broker and have him list it within seconds.
