Johnathan Hills and Corrie22 are exactly right. They own this thread.

Desantis isn't a Dr. He also knew he couldn't keep the state closed. Death rates are still ultra low and the rate of exposure is in line with the rates of increased testing. This isn't unexpected. No living governor has dealt with this. He's doing as good a job as any of the other govs, without trampling on peoples rights or destroying the economy.

There are no warrants in Portland right now, just feds grabbing people walking down a street and claiming they had vandalized federal property without a shred of proof or any paper issued by a court of law

I left the Republican Party because they have now become the working hands of terrorists and our enemies. They are supporting and celebrating the deaths of more Americans than all foreign terror attacks combined. Just look at this thread.

Back to topic. In my little world, my neighborhood in Florida is selling more homes than when I moved from NY 4 years ago. Also have NY friends still wanting to come to Florida.

Hmm....it's almost like this is a "novel" virus that we've never seen before. Super surprising no one could give you a quick three-second sound bite that all the answers right off the bat

Didn't Trump give Desantis a subtle hint that a mask mandate wouldn't kill his chances for a Cabinet position next term?

He has kept FLA #'s down, Florida ranks 25th on deaths per million population. That is the #1 measure to be used.

Cases mean much less because the new cases being reported now are leagely younger people who will survive C-19. Florida deaths will remain low, and new Yorkers will contrinue to fleet the deadliest C-19 state in the USA for Florida.

The real estate market in Florida is doing quite well due to all the New Yorkers buying here. 270 a day moving down here.

I agree. The sales center parking lots I drive past are packed. Lots of New York plates on the cars.

The Pandemic & recent explosion of murders in NYC has amped us the exodus, so I felt those new angle's were discussion worthy. I find it fascinating how demographics can shift so dramatically.

Florida has overtaken New York in population, and the trend is increasing even more now as New York loses people, businesses, and their tax base.

It has strong real estate implications, and City-Data is focuses upon real estate.
