Cases are spiking in Fl.Keys.They were closed to visitors for months. They reopened too early, now the cases are through the roof, restraunts are closed. Boat ramps, parks, anything to do with boats commercially is closed. If you tow your boat, you can't launch. Nothing to do at all.Masks are a must in all public places.

I was just in Key West a few days ago. Many of the places are open, the state parks and boat ramps on many islands are open. Museums and attractions are open, and isn't obnoxiously overcrowded. They talked a big game about mandatory masks all over Key West, but so many defiant pricks running around without them on, nobody was enforcing it... plus we heard so many morons trying to bully their way into bars without wearing them. You can go, be safe, and protect yourself with a mask.

Key West is a whole different story. Im actually, giving notice to the thousands of toueists whom come to the Keys for mini lobster season. Politics allowed the season to stay open, but the County of Monroe along with Villages like Islamorada, are shutting parks, boat ramps down. Most restraunts are closed. They cannot afford to remain open at the restricted rates.Masks are a MUST.Again,KW,a different animal. But i'd bet alot of fines will be handed out. The Keys held off covid for months. Once the roadblock was lifted on the main roads, the covid spiked. Please, know this, marathon has no hospital right now,Irma destroyed what was left,Upper Keys ,has Mariners Hospital, they are to capacity, and very limited staff. So ,if you or loved one have a disorder that may creep up,allergies,WE DO HAVE JELLYFISH,lionfish ,sea urchins, and red ants just to name a few of poisonous creatures ,things happen. The helicopter to miami is expensive and overworked. So if you come, dont get sick or hurt.

The only reason boat ramps are closed is for mini lobster season this weekend.

They will open back up next week.

We were just in Key West last week.

The only thing closed were bars that did not serve food in Key West like Sloppy Joes and Captain Tonys.

He is either panicking over hype he heard from somewhere or just plain lying. Key West may be an outlier, but to get there you have to pass through all the islands, and it is clear as day most places are open. If you plan to go, bring a mask and don't be an ******* about not wearing. Too many people down there visiting making problems for workers just trying to enforce guidelines.
