It seems the dealers right now are wanting to carry lower end models of cars, economical ones.

Yeah not option then, you'll have to start searching outside your area. Or select a few dealerships you trust and give them your list and to call you.

So, for used cars due to Corona, economy, are dealers haggling a lot on used cars currently? The GTs and SS I see listed on auto trade I've seen on there for awhile now.

You could definitely give it a shot. Dont waste your time trying to do it over the phone or online, haggling is done in person. Sales people dont consider you serious unless they can confirm you ar ed intereste, plus most of the time you deal with schedulers over the phone and online, they have no authourity in price adjustments.

I agree. I can't imagine how these places like Carvana sell cars where you basically buy it online and they deliver it and the prices are not even that great.

I can't imagine ever buying a car online without SEEING it in person and driving it. Sounds like a financial disaster.

I'm 36, Millennial and maybe that's how they buy cars now lol but not me. I can't believe people are dumb enough to pay listing price on places like Carmax and Carvana no haggle. They're higher than the dealers.

Most people have no idea what to check, etc., on cars these days. That is where haggling or flat out rejection comes in.

From my understanding, these online vendors have a pretty liberal return policy along with better warranty terms, especially on used cars. Replacement parts cost much more depending on the cars now than they use to

Well I got my car. 2016 Camaro 2SS 16,000 miles. I couldn't get them much below internet price since the car was already listed at a pretty good price compared to NADA, KBB but I did get a better deal than expected on trade in. I was figuring 11k max on trade in due to age and paint, etc that needs work and two accidents but they gave me 12,500 so I bit pretty quick. I was firm though and they could tell I was pretty hard nosed when haggling lol and I even told the manager the deal would come down to trade in value then. Granted it wasn't KBB level but in my experience on trade ins KBB is never accurate in reality.

I really like the 2ss Camaro compared to the 2012 Mustang GT Premium. Overall build quality is much more premium but tons of electronics gadgets since it's nearly fully loaded.

The only downside to the Camaro it's similar to my mom's Chevy Equinox and that the drivers side blind spot pretty bad. Takes mirror adjustments and basically if you like visual you gotta press your face against the window to see the blind spot when passing.

Didn't get home till late so I didn't even get to play around with it much. But tons of stuff to read in the owners manual with all the electronic stuff.

A big reason why I stay away from imports. Especially BMW.

You are right on about everything.

KBB is not the auto value bible many prop it up to be. It is only a point of reference for people who know nothing about car valuation, hence the "Little old lady only drove it got to church on sundays" so many got absolutely robbed into the double digits. That's what led to the rise of KBB and Carfax.

Camaro of most ages seem to have that larger than most blindspot. I attribute that to the seat ccx angle and placement than mirrors... feels like you are crouching down behind the wheel.

The Challenger also has a lot of complaints about blind spots as well due to the huge C pillars.

I don't really crouch down behind the wheel or lean back like you see the kids do. Actually the steering wheel is pretty low when compared to my Mustang. Again, the Camaro is designed with a much lower profile than the Mustang. Not sure about the 2015 newer Stangs but they seem to look a lot more crammed and smaller than the 2005 thru 14.

I see taller people don't like how the Camaro is so low and their head nearly touches the headliner.

Overall I'm pretty happy with it though. Smoother riding, faster than my 2012 Stang but you don't notice it because it rides so smooth but the speeds when you look down gets up there.

I don't know what it is about blind spots and newer cars these days though. The Mustang you were somewhat blinded but not terrible. My mom's Equinox is possibly even worse than the Camaro though with blind spots. It does seem they're putting thicker A, B, and C pillars in cars for safety reasons and looks and expect people to rely on technology.
