Hilfiger and Ocleppo will move to Palm Beach, Florida, for favorable tax policies and other unnamed reasons; the couple is selling their Miami home and are looking to buy a new Florida home, they told the Wall Street Journal in September. Hilfiger also sold his Plaza Hotel penthouse in 2019 for $33.25 million and a Palm Beach mansion for $35 million in 2017.
It looks like they've already had properties here.

Why would you have so many homes within such a short distance? Unless it's for investments, tax shelters. If I'm correct Bill Gates has multiple homes in southeast FL.

Which is the way it's turning.

No, they're simply being outnumbered.

Now if it was mostly people moving from places like Missouri, Kentucky, Kansas, Idaho places like that then FL would become more conservative.

However, more move here from NY, NJ, MA, MD, CT than conservative states.

Yet another super wealthy family leaving Connecticut or New York for South Florida? No surprise here.

Thankfully most of the wealthy and wall streeters are refugees and vote Republican.

Its a financial hedge against the collapse of the dollar. When paper investments, & cash, become toilet paper, hard assests like precious metals, and real estate, is wealth gets stored.

That is why very wealthy people own lots of real estate. Sean Hannity owns 100+ rental homes. The top 1% are increasing their holdings in hard assets right now. They know our Dollar is in peril.

I wonder what Tommy paid for that Greenwich mansion. If I were buying it, I'd have offered much less than he bought it for because so many wealthy people are fleeing the Northeast, that it's going to be hard to sell next time.
