Hi,

Can anyone advise me on purchasing a good weather radio, for living in SW Florida? Let me know why you like the one you do, if you don't mind?

Thanks

I have a Midland radio (a gift), most will work fine. Stores like Target, Sears, K-Mart, does carry weather radios. Just ask or you can procure on-line from a number of sites. See below:

Weather Radios Emergency Alert All Hazard Radio

A bit of info from NOAA Weather Radio: NOAA Weather Radio

Funny, I just replaced the batteries in ours this evening & was wondering about hurricane season in SWFL.
We bought an Emerson from WalMart. It was very cheap but worked great & still does.
I use it now on my kitchen windowsill to listen to music.

Bought a cheapie one at Wal Mart and didn't like it. Got a much better one with NOAA capability at Radio Shack. Much better.

Radio Shack would be the place and they will set it to the correct station for you.

We have a Midland/NOAA S.A.M.E digital weather/all hazards alert radio. It allows us to get alerts from more than one county, which is helpful since we're right on the border of two.
