Some of my New York City friends are sick and tired of the lock downs and pandemic living in concrete and they are high earning professionals

They are looking for low end homes (between $600,000 and 2 million dollars ) in rural Florida … anywhere doesn’t matter …. as long as you don’t have to pay $1,700 a month for parking garage. In New York it is very expensive to keep a car

In Florida do you still get to park your car wherever you want or is that changing? Is it possible to get a house with your own driveway for under $1 million ? If so that’s a steal of a deal. They are willing to pay at least a million for that because they never had that in NYC. What parts of Florida have homes with driveways for under a million ? And how much are homes where you have to pay for monthly parking ?

One of my friends was looking at gulf coast but inland gulf coast Newport Ritchey and is looking to pay upwards of $2.4 million for any home as long as it’s driveway and there’s a/c . In New York you won’t find a home for under $7 million .

Also it’s very hard right now to find homes for sale in Florida, in my parents community they have zero homes for sale …. It’s something I haven’t seen before

So my question is if someone offers multiple millions of dollars for homes in rural Florida would that get a seller? At what point will someone say “ok you have a deal . Let’s start $2 million all cash , for a home with 2 bedrooms in any part of Florida with a house that has a driveway that you can park on overnight. Would that get a seller? Even with inflation ? Doesn’t need to be gated

It is lowend for up north . But there should be a place you can go if you are priced out. In New York they have homeless / soup kitchen and training programs to teach money management like don’t buy that movie ticket or go out to dinner if you can’t afford the price. Spend less work a second job

Rural Florida and lack of garages just aren't a thing...but thanks for playing. $2M in rural Florida can get you a runway in some cases! But trust me no one from NYC would like rural Florida.

Last year I got a place in Florida for under $100,000. 7 year old home on a small pond. Has room to park 2 cars. I keep the 3rd vehicle up the street a bit.

Tell you what, I've got a 2550 sq ft home with a 2-car garage and a driveway big enough to fit another 5-6 cars, with a pool in a safe family-oriented area that is 10 minutes from the gulf beaches that I'll happily sell your friends for only $1 million
