Terrible list to be completely honest. Longboat Key doesn’t really have a downtown. Cape Coral isn’t small and isn’t charming. Here are better ones:

1. Dunedin
2. Safety Harbor
3. Tarpon Springs
4. Gulfport
5. Pass-A-Grille
6. Venice
7. Bradenton Beach
8. Boca Grande

Crystal River and Matlacha look nice too, but I’ve never visited.

Agree, Venice is listed by OP and the second poster.
Love Venice. Until it gets discovered, and then slowly destroyed by over population and too many cars.

A good list all in all but feel Naples, Cedar Key, Apalachicola and Seaside deserve mention. Naples is definitely top three in my opinion.

You’re right about Cedar Key. Naples could be added too but I don’t consider it small when compared to the other cities I listed. Apalachicola and Seaside are in Alabama.

It's less populated than Dunedin.
