refugees were sitting on the side of the road for 2 days...the backlog...there was no one to process or transport them....you can forget portapotties or medical

...this has nothing to do with the demons in you head
The demons are hardly in my head, they're in thread after thread in this forum - as well as in charge of a beloved State that is increasingly Authoritarian and scary.

what's going on in the Keys is the opposite of this State becoming more Authoritarian...

DeSantis send reinforcements to help them...process, food, medical, housing, transportation, etc

If you were half as busy reading...instead of trying to be clever with snarky comments

....you would know that

it's the demons in your head that are scary

Heads threads and freds, the simple fact is these thugs need to be stopped and turned back around and be sent home. Just makes me sick we get this junk coming over here that we all gotta pay for or get killed by them.

Yup. There were 38,000 migrants/refugees coming in through the Keys in the entire year of 2021. I didn't see a single post about that here. Where was all the hue and cry about it then?
I'm not seeing any reliable source mentioning 8000 refugees/migrants in the past week though. I am seeing several hundred, which sounds about what's expected.

I guess desantis's big move last March to restrict immigration in Florida didn't do what his voters thought it was going to do (which is keep out immigrants and send back the ones who were already here). Instead, it did exactly what HE wanted it to go: convince a lot of idiots to vote for him.

first off....it's 8000 since August....no where does it say "past week"

...where are you seeing several hundred?.....if you count land and sea....it was over 2000 in one weekend...both Cubans and Haitians

looks to me like the idiots are on the other side

Quote:
"Almost 8,000 Cubans and Haitians have been interdicted since August — about 50 per day compared with 17 per day in the 2021-22 fiscal year and just two per day during the 2020-21 fiscal year. Officials said at least 65 migrants have died at sea since August

sounds like maybe you're the only one here that makes perfect/simple sense... Pick them up, send them back...easy decision ...these aren't legal normal asylum claims...perform this strategy for 1 year....and illegals stop making the trek (most of them) They have no intrinsic natural right to move here...where does that nonsense come from anyway?

Cuban refugees have been welcomed for many years, they enjoy access that others do not. Their presence is woven through the fabric of the history and culture of the State. You must not have paid attention growing up, crack open a history book sometime.
