Im planning on moving to the Panhandle about 1 hour inland from the Gulf Coast. Can i expect my vehicles to rust quicker , does undercoating help alot, and have certain cars youve had rust quicker than others ? Thanks.

Most of the newer cars do have undercoating and during my 11 years in the area, I have not had any problems with corrosion. Actually, I don' see many vehicles rusting like back in the early 80's. The quality of the vehicles to include metal, painting process, etc are excellent.

I do have a vehicle from 2000 and no rust to be found.

It'll be heaven for your car compared to Chicago and other places where salt is a necessary evil in the winter.

no rust here. I live 20 minutes from the coast. been here 14 years. It's not like the salt drifts over in the air and falls on your car or anything. But if you go boating or have any water craft, it's always good to do a thorough clean after coming in from the salt water. 10 year old cars down here can still look like new condition where a 10 year old car up north is falling apart.
