I live in a wood frame house which does have concrete board siding (Hardy board). I believe my insurance agent may have insured my house as a concrete block house and I am concerned about losing my coverage, or it going up exponentially if the wood frame is an issue. Does anyone have any experience with this, or any thoughts, warnings, or recommendations???

thanks.

contact your ins agent and get it the info on your policy correct...God forbid you need to make a claim..they can refuse to pay it based on incorrect info.

There are lots of wood frame houses in Fl so that is not an issue....it's better to make sure your info is correct now than later.

Didn't your ins agent come to your home to take pictures? When I lived in SW Florida our agent did.

thanks, Milabs, for responding. I guess I have to call my agent, and no, no one ever did come out to photograph my home!

Make sure all the information is correct and above board. In the event of a claim you may not get paid if they show you defrauded them about the house. They don't like to pay even when they should, the last thing you want to do is leave them a loop hole and this one sounds like you could drive a truck through it.
