Hi,
This is my first post, hope someone can help me. ]I'm hoping to retire within the next 6 months and move to Florida. We have vacationed all over the state and really don't have a preference, other than we want to be close ( less than 8-10 miles) to at least two poker rooms that also has slot machines. My mother is 86 and is the slot player. We love playing 2-4 and 3-6 limit poker and tournaments. We play in Atlantic City twice a week which is 60 miles from our home. That drive is getting old.

]Also looking for a house with 4 bedrooms either in a 55+ retirement community, condo or single for less than $160,000.

Thank you so much

I don't want to travel to far east or west. I was also hoping for a little more help in regards to housing. Tampa is pretty general.

Look into Broward County. Isle of Capri, HardRock and the Dogtrack are nearby.

But beware, Florida Poker sucks. NL1-2 cash with a $100 buyin limit sucks, and if you wanna play the higher limits it's still a $100 limit, even at 5-10. ridiculous. and regarding the tournaments, i've heard from a lot of people that teamplay is common at the hardrock and the staff doesn't do anything to stop it.

*edit*
Make sure to check out this link to find more rooms in the area

Yeah, FL poker really sucks and it was $1-2 crap, capped at $16 around. Your pocket Kings are worthless because Gertrude is playing with the SS check and she'll chase till she catches her straight 2-6.

Total crap. I play at HR Tampa and only the 1-2 nolimit games are capped at 100. I dont know where the team play comment comes from - but if you play one table sit and goes your asking for it anyway.
