live for a three month assignment in the winter? Looking for housing for a work assignment. I have two small kids so safety is the main concern. Here are the cities I have to choose from: New Pt Richey, Englewood, Largo, Kissimmee, Margate, Hudson & Port St Lucie. Any info on these areas would be great (safest & family friendliness, also should I avoid any of the areas) Thanks so much!

What kind of work? Are the kids in school? Are you looking for a three month lease in the winter?

Do you want to be near a big city, like Tampa? What do you like to do with your spare time? Have you looked into rentals, because it is the height of season.

i've been looking at rentals on craigslist. i don't really care one way or another about being in a big city, we've lived in the city and suburbia as well - but i suppose being in a beachy laid back town sounds nice.

Okay. It sounds like you should look at Jensen Beach. It's beachy and laid back and safe, and right next to Port St. Lucie.

Choose something on the coast if you are here only for a 3 month assignment in the winter. Stay away from Kissimmee.
