If I was home right now, I would be anticipating Fall. Waiting to pack away my summer clothes, get out the cords and sweaters, flannels, and down comforter.

I so miss the cold weather. Hopefully, I can move back soon.

Fall right now the temps in NY are hot...eessshhh wait until Oct, Nov...

No the Humidity isnt bothering us....no different than Late Aug and sept up north..or in charlotte for that matter...both places were very humid as well...
I could see if someone is working outside then it must be awful, but I go from my car to the store back to my car, maybe Iced coffee with friends late afternoon, then back in my car and so on...

Hang in there - the joy of living in Florida is about to come! We are in MN and had a gorgeous cool summer - much lower temps than normal - but so amazingly pleasant you could not stand to be inside for a minute - but now - the other shoe is about to fall. On the contrary, you are about to reap the benefits of withstanding the brutal summer. Countdown beginning - - - - enjoy!

I think of summer in Florida as the best time of the year.
Monday I was out playing golf with a good friend, there were showers in the area and a cool breeze as a result. We were not alone on the course, but it was far from crowded.
When I go fishing the public ramps are uncrowded and there is plenty of parking.
Restaurants are not mobbed so I can go out to eat without having to wait in line.
The summer is not brutal to me, it's pleasant.
Give me flip-flops and a bathing suit, keep your sweaters and comforters.
I'll take tropical orchids in bloom over trees changing colors.

Man, you moved back to NY and didn't miss a day of posting on CD.

Is this like the post where you told me you were 30 years old after talking about the kids in your HS a few posts earlier?

I for one think the summer was kind of mild.
It was still warm enough for me so I am not complaining but it got down in the 60's the other night which is a bit unusual.

lol, cooled down to 88 degrees... That's awful. I hate dealing with anything above 85 degrees.

Anything 80+ coupled with the humidity here is very uncomfortable for me. 2 and 1/2 more months of summer still to go here.

Same here.
It got hot at the end of June into July, and I thought oh no, this is gonna be brutal.
But ever since then it really has been mild.
Right now, it is 82.9 °F with a coastal breeze and there might be a rain shower this evening.
Sounds just right for late August.
