lol- this thread is funny. Well- Prince was good. At least it wasn't the Janet Jackson debacle. I don't even remember the teams that played that year, but the PR trash about her went on for like 2 months.

I know that is a pain in the rear but the Super Bowl can bring from $243 billion to $400 billion to the local economy, next week someone will post the gains.

Hotel rooms were sold out, car rentals were max-outhttp://www.aha-soft.com/stock-icons/fin/automobile_loan.gif (broken link), sport bar were full, and travel agencies sold travel packages to maximize the traveler’s experience.

Someone made some serious money this weekend...http://www.aha-soft.com/stock-icons/fin/bundle.gif (broken link)

400 billion, I don't think so. This has been the least eventful Super bowl down here I remember. Except for some activity on south beach it was like it wasn't even happening. My wife had to rent a car and had no problem getting it, they seemed to have a surplus. I don't know where all these people were hiding, none migrated up to Fort Lauderdale and they usually do. I think the final numbers are going to be disappointing.

No matter how you look at it it is a windfall for the area, but it seemed to fall a little short this time.

I wonder if it is because they get drunk...their team looses....they get pissed off and take it out on their family??? Oh well, did not want to ruin everyones day with this bit of statistics but it is something I thought was worth sharing because I know I always think about and say a little prayer for those in need.
Snopes dot com says this is an urban myth!

You "learned" this BS in college? Somehow I'm not surprised; all the same you should consider asking for a tuition refund.
