Did anyone move out of Florida to another state because you thought you were fed up, then you realized how good you had it here and moved back to Fla. (or planning to move back)?

I was born and raised in West/Central Florida, Got fed up and left the state moving to Middle Tennessee. I missed the place and figured I made a mistake until I got back to Tampa and realized how big of a mess the state is, economy, housing market, and insurance is pretty much insane. So I left again and unless I comeback making $100k a year or win the lottery, I doubt I'll ever return.

i was born in fla, moved away to nc, and then moved back fla. we didnt realize how much better things are in nc. but they are. and living in orlando made it easy for us to see. comparing state to state, emotions and family aside, nc is a clear winner over florida. the people, the scenery, the driving...

i still like florida, dont get me wrong. i am just disappointed in how things are now, compared to what it used to be like in fla. i could still be happy in some areas of florida.

Exactly how I feel. I told the wife today if I were to still live here I would go to either Sarasota, or back to Melbourne/Palm Bay. I still like it there.

Florida is a night and day difference from when I came here in 1994. it was actually good until 2004, then something happened...
