Drill babeeee drill!
No, of course I'm against it--its a terrible idea. Hopefully, now that the price of oil is plummeting, this idea should go straight to the garbage bin where it belongs.

I'd rather see an oil rig off the coast than see another flag draped coffin coming back from the middle east.

i certainly would not mind seeing an american oil rig off the coast since we already have them, but they do not represent interests of the united states. that is the worst situation possible as we now get the problems with none of the benefits.

Drill all you want, I doubt you will find any oil around here. Whatever there is around Florida is very expensive to get at and it will take years just to build new rigs.

That's right--they can't even get to the oil right now, and by the time they do it will be too late to make a difference!

It's all smoke and mirrors.

Lease Area 181 off the Gulf Coast of Florida is estimated to contain 1.25 billion barrels of recoverable oil and nearly 6 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, enough to heat 6 million homes for 15 years. The U.S. Geological Survey estimates the North Cuban Basin contains 4.6 billion barrels of oil.
