My buddies up in Seattle don't believe me when I tell 'em that south florida can get over-night freezes. Does anyone have any pics/evidence that can prove my friends wrong?

I don't have pics, but I did live in the Fl Panhandle for 4 years. And let me tell you...it does freeze. My best advice for proving your friend wrong is to check the news websites around Jan and Feb. That is when it happens the most. You could also google it and maybe find some old stuff on there.

Sorry, no pics.
I saw sleet falling in the Panhandle last winter. It gets plenty cold.
Measurable snow fell there in the late 1980's.
My first ever visit to Florida was Boca Raton in the early 1980's, and there was a hard frost right before we arrived--you could see the damage. Our first couple days there, I was wearing jeans and sweater, but then it warmed up.

It "snows" every hour on the hour in Celebration during the holiday season.

I don't know about south Florida, but we get frost a few times each winter in the Orlando area.

I've seen frost on the ground on a couple wintry early mornings on the Treasure Coast before.

We had hail on Mothers Day this year.

I have had frost on my windsheild in the morning and I live about halfway in between Orlando and Daytona.

Frost kills my outdoor plants every year. We live across the street from a lake which i'm told helps keep the temps up a bit having the water nearby but when we drive away from the lake, the cars are covered in frost where we could use a scraper on the windshield. It was a warm winter this past year but at one time, i can't remember where, they had flurries. Tampa/St.Pete usually ships in truck loads of snow once a year for the kids to play in and there is a huge ice sculpture exhibit every year held in Orlando where people from other countries carve sculptures inside a building and it stays open for week. They provide you with clothing to walk around inside. There is even a slide you can go down made from ice. Never been yet but i see it on T.V. news when they are promoting it.
