I'm going to be working at the Saw Grass Mills Mall In Sunrise Florida and need a place to live. I'm a divorced white guy, 49 years old and will need to rent a place fairly close to the mall area. Any suggestions?

The area immediately surrounding the mall is nice. How much do you want to spend on housing?

I think you could find something right around the mall for that much money.

So look in the town of Sunrise? Any other areas you would recommend?

Look right across the street in that apartment/condo conversion complex and walk to work. 1000 a month would be easy in there. That's a very good area, in fact, it's several miles away from any serious "bad areas".

I would stay close to the mall. It's not as expensive as Weston or Plantation and the neighborhood is nice. You won't spend a ton of money and it is close to everything you will need. You also won't spend much money commuting.

The schools there are not great, but if your kids aren't in public school it shouldn't matter to you.

We once lived at the Waterford Townhomes in Lauderhill, Fl. I enjoyed living there at the time. I noticed some people posted bad reviews about this place, of course when renting things will never be perfect. At the time it was a gated community...it's been several years so I'm not sure how it is now. It's about a 5 minute drive to Sawgrass.
