That is kind of weird. I always thought about one out of 10 folks were probably FL natives (born here or lived here atleast 25+ years).

Yeah, all the time. Or when I've met a native, it's more like the M&Ms commercial you see around Christmas when Red and Yellow see Santa and proclaim, "He does exist!" and then each proceeds to faint.

Born in North Miami Beach in 1975. No, I don't know the name of the hospital. Moved to Cooper City at the ripe old age of 8 months. Lived there until 2003 when I moved to Boca. Now I'm dying to get out of here...I've had it. Johnston County, NC is where we're looking to go.

Not liking Miami is subjective...

Example; Desmona25 and Web B. Rowser; let me guess...you both have kids, a family, 9-5ers? Now imagine if you were a single person, no kids, 40s/50s and financially secure? Think about it because you might have a different viewpoint. The folks who love, for example my home town 'Gainesville'; these are working class folks, a mortgage, kids, 95-5, etc.

Rio de Janiero, I consider a paradise, and other small towns on the coast of Brazil, but for an American gal -- most would't be caught dead in Rio. But for a single, retired 40s/50s/60s American man, it might be wonderful place.

One guy might see a Ferrari and hate to own one,a nd another guy would love to own one.

It's all subjective.

In some parts of Florida, it's like that. Northern FL tends to have more natives. I read that something like 30% of Florida residents where born in the state, the 2nd lowest in the country.

Even if I were single, I wouldnt want to live in Miami. There are a lot of better places to choose from, single or not. The people, the crime, the very un-American feel to it, I like to be around Americans and speak the English language, and feel like I am in America, so, no thanks.
