I was just up at the hair salon and was reading a mag entitled Places To Retire. They showed the top 100 retirement choices in the country. Phoenix moved to number one and the number two spot went to West Palm Beach. Florida had a huge amount in the top 100 and they also had a few pics on there. Melbourne was one of the very top ones along with Mt. Dora. They would also show alternative cities nearby. They had a beautiful pic of Mt. Dora and a small article that talked about how it is a music city with so much entertainment. Leesburg was used for their alternative city. That's the area that we've come full circle to because it looks like the best area of Fla. for us. I know there are some members here so I remembered that Lakeland (where I also have a neice) was the number 19 spot and Sebring is number 26. The Carolinas seemed popular and Columbia looks beautiful. Of course, there were no areas up here that people were looking at. Fort Walton Beach was mentioned with Destin as the alternative city, but they said the area had actually gone down a few places from last year. Just wanted to share with you that Florida is still considered one of the top destinations for people all over the country.

Yes, that sounds like it was it. On the cover it has the article in large letters and I believe it is the Jan/Feb. issue of that magazine. Guess I should've written it down to be more precise cause it was an interesting article. I'll bet a lot of people here will be able to find their city listed on there.
