I am a single male, 26 years old and have lived in phoenix since i was 7. I am being transferred to Gainesville for work. Does anyone have any advice for me? I have read in a lot of these threads that the singles scene is terrible, and that there isnt much to do. I am looking to rent at first and then maybe find a house. I keep hearing to stay away form the eastside. I went to college in a college town about half the size of Gainesville, and loved it. Although I was in college then and I'm not really into the whole college scene anymore, but I do like to go to the bars still. What can anyone tell me? I am so sick of Phoenix and the big city attitude, everyone is so fake here. Is Gainseville going to be any better? Help!
