Someone told me that you can work temp jobs while receiving unemployment. I guess you enter the week that you worked when claiming your weeks.

Does anyone knows?

Only way to do it would be a "cash paying" job aka "under the table"

You CANNOT believe strangers on the internet about this.

Go on the Unemployment Compensation website and read it.

Then call them.

There's a whole section about HOW TO REPORT EARNINGS THAT YOU MIGHT MAKE WHEN YOU'RE ON UNEMPLOYMENT even if they are small.

It is not cut and dried like:

Florida unemployment lets you claim 2 weeks at a time.

If you work a temp job for 1 week and the following week you do not work, then you can only claim 1 week not 2.

You CANNOT claim unemployment the same week that you work.

Agency for Workforce Innovation - Unemplyment Compensation (http://tinyurl.com/8ohj93 - broken link)
From here you can download the PDF and read it at your convenience.
If I remember correctly from years ago, what SouthAfrica75 is the way it goes. However, due to so many people being on unemployment after 9/11 and all the extensions that were given....it is possible they have adjusted or changed some of the procedures. I would give it a read before goofing around and possibly losing your benefits. It is so hard to correct 'misunderstandings' with the state.
