Something tells me, since we haven't heard from Nancy Lynne in a few days, that she's down there, trying to find housing and make sense of everything. I hope she finds what she's looking for and isn't hurt by these people.

Default Florida needs true professionals

You know, I just don't know what it is but having worked both up North and down South, it just seems (just my opinion) that there is a certain element of professionalism and focus lacking in Florida. Simple things like offer letters, change in benefit confirmations, formal performance reviews and the like are lost to folks. If the effort requires someone to stay after 5pm then they don't want to do it. Maybe its because there are so many people coming and/or wanting to come to Florida that it lulls employers into a false sense of security. Don't get me wrong there are good employers and professional folks in Florida but as someone said there are some serious coconuts in positions that makes you say "how exactly did you get that job"?

I have no concrete advice for Nancy other than the normal cliches of trust your instinct and what starts poorly will end poorly.
