Clearwater is not a ncie beach. It has a nice play area but that's about all I can say for it. I am from Miami, I now live in Tampa. The water is murky and there are some sort of ocean spiders in the water. They catch you off guard-you think they are seaweed until you see them moving

I frequent Clearwater Beach quite a bit. The water is very clear unless there are a lot of people in the water, which is usually the case 6-7 months out of the year, or the "surf" is rougher than normal.

Never ever encountered anything like an ocean spider or whatever it might've been though(...harmless blue crab, maybe?).

Honestly is there a beach in Florida that isn't beautiful - take a look at this one and then tell me different. Love how the picture is in black and white, so you can't see how dark the water is - Jones Beach baby - I'll take in beach in Florida over this one.

I used to love Jones Beach in the summer when I was a kid. Of course my other choice was Orchard Beach in the Bronx.
The traffic in the summer was horrendous getting there though.

If you live in The Bronx that is going to be pretty much your only choice for a beach during the summer if both your parents are working.
We were able to ride our bikes there and we would have a blast.
