The best beaches besides the keys are there I think...

If you are a Florida surfer they are, or if you like to see sea turtles etc. they are; but a lot of people don't like the sand. It isn't the white sand beaches or blue water they think of as beautiful beaches. I love the fact that you can be the only person for miles and miles on the beach sometimes. I could go to the beach here every day of the year and never see the same thing or get bored.

Somewhere in South Florida.

I like the conveniences of big cities(stores, large emergency services etc) Tampa would probably be my second choice. I don't like the other big cities. I have always hated Orlando. It's too inland and I'm not the biggest fan of the Mouse. the West coast cities(Naples, FM, Pensacola) are still not very diverse. Jacksonville is too cold during the winter and too close to Georgia.

Somewhere on the perimeter of a big city. I love where I am but I'm missing city amenities.

Probably Anna Maria Island, the entire island!!

Fort Desoto would be another choice if it was an option and it could be anywhere.

I agree! Anna Maria Island! Small, beautiful island. It has easy access to inland things, but still feels worlds away. Cute little shops.
Just love it there!

I would say Jupiter, close enough to all the things you would need, without all the headaches of a larger city.
